The Sachse High School baseball program is inviting golfers to tee off for a cause on Friday, Sept. 25.
The Sachse Mustang Baseball Booster Club will host its golf tournament at 8 a.m. at Firewheel Golf Club's Lakes Course in Garland. Registration and sponsorship opportunities are open now through the booster club's Square site.
The booster club announced the event on Facebook, saying it appreciates the support of everyone who plays, sponsors or backs the Mustang Baseball program.
Proceeds support head coach Chris Burrow's Mustangs, who are coming off a season that ended in the Class 6A Division I area round. Sachse swept Rockwall-Heath in the bi-district series, rallying from a 5-2 deficit in Game 2 to win 7-5, before falling to Waxahachie in the area round in May.
The 2026 squad earned 12 selections on the District 9-6A all-district team, according to Sachse News. Senior third baseman Colt Upchurch was named Offensive Player of the Year, and senior catcher William Martin took home Defensive Player of the Year honors. It marked the second time in three years the program reached the area round.
The Lakes Course is a public, 18-hole layout at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland.
